I had a brainwave the other day to play up Hermes' winged boots a little, after all that's kind of his thing in lieu of a weapon. I had the idea of doing an Air Jordan style mash up and couldn't shake it so here is it.. out of my system.

Cheers dude, perhaps.. It was kind of the point though to add a contempory vibe to it.. Just a riff on some pop culture. It was just a throw away piece really.
There is an element of bringing the ancient greek thing to a modern audience in terms of cultural reference. From a marketing point of view the potential audience could relate to the overly modern nod and wink to sports brands. They might not find an 'air sandle' 'cool' \end cynical marketting spiel :)
lolz, love the idea of juxtaposing the ancient with the contemporary especially being in tune with the olympics. These could lead to a few could comical posters based of the other gods and associated well known products. It would be funny to see a pre war Russian propaganda stalin style poster with Ares ;) or maybe not.
